Acts 3:26

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Wednesday, March 3, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Forgiveness & MercyGratitude

To you first, God, raising up his Son, hath sent him to bless you: that every one may convert himself from his wickedness.

Acts 3:26

Reflection for Today

Let Acts 3:26 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “To you first, God, raising up his Son, hath sent him to bless you: that every one may convert himself from his wickedness.”

Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. The Acts of the Apostles remind us that the Church is not a museum of holy memories. It is a living community moved by the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning.

If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Acts 3:26 remain. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Acts 3:26. As I listen to “To you first, God, raising up his Son, hath sent him to bless you: that every one…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
