Catholic Verse of the Day

Deuteronomy 3:26

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, January 18, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And the Lord was angry with me on your account and heard me not, but said to me: It is enough: speak no more to me of this matter.

Deuteronomy 3:26

Reflection for Today

Let Deuteronomy 3:26 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And the Lord was angry with me on your account and heard me not, but said to me: It is enough: speak no more to me of this matter.”

Deuteronomy is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Deuteronomy 3:26, let “And the Lord was angry with me on your account and heard me not, but said to me: It…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
