Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Ezekiel 2:2: “And the spirit entered into me after that he spoke to me, and he set me upon my feet: and I heard him speaking to me,”
In Ezekiel, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.
Today's invitation under the theme of Holy Spirit is simple and serious. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Ezekiel 2:2 close to me. Let “And the spirit entered into me after that he spoke to me, and he set me upon my…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
